ESSAYS PERSONAL VIEW

Do you need a physics degree to read GOD PLAYS DICE?

You can follow a question about the universe without a physics degree—or a promise to agree with the author’s hypothesis.

At seven, I was already lying awake trying to understand why the universe existed. I did not know the language of cosmology. The question arrived before the vocabulary.

That is one reason I want GOD PLAYS DICE Volume One to be readable without a physics degree. I do not have one either. The book starts with a question: what if our Big Bang was the aftermath of an event in a space with additional dimensions?

You can start with an ordinary question

You do not need to solve an equation before asking what an explanation means. If a word stops you, pause there. A useful explanation should help you understand the word before asking you to accept the conclusion.

For HD-Blast, “higher-dimensional” refers to a proposed space with additional directions beyond the three we experience. It is a mathematical possibility in the proposal. It is not an observed place or proof of a hidden world.

Simple language still needs careful limits

I use everyday pictures to make unfamiliar ideas easier to follow. A pond can help us imagine ripples carrying clues about something we did not see. The picture cannot tell us what caused the Big Bang. Water and the universe are different things.

Reading the book means keeping those two jobs separate: the image helps us ask a question; measurements and a worked-out physical explanation would have to help answer it. HD-Blast remains unproved, and its physical cause is unfinished.

Three questions to bring to the page

  • Can I explain the main idea in my own words?
  • Where does the everyday comparison stop being useful?
  • Which part is established evidence, and which part is the author’s proposal?

You can follow the story without agreeing with the hypothesis. Curiosity does not require a promise to believe. Technical expertise still matters when assessing calculations and designing tests; readable language makes those questions easier to enter.

For a practical starting point, read what a fair test means for HD-Blast or visit the research section.
