GOD PLAYS DICE™

Our Paywall Promise

God Plays Dice is free to read where it matters most. The Question Library has one simple rule: the short answer is always free. All Access opens every long answer.

You can read 3 long answers a month without an account, or 6 with a free reader account. Reopening an answer you have already read that month does not use another allowance. The long answers that explain Ricardo’s own research (Author’s hypothesis) are for All Access members only; the free allowance doesn’t open them. The care answers and the status of Ricardo’s own research, listed below, stay free in full, even after your monthly allowance is used.

Always free, for everyone

  • Every story, essay and Einstein centennial piece.
  • On every Library answer: the question, the short answer, how sure we are (a label on every claim), what we don’t know yet, what would change the answer, the opening section, words worth knowing, every source and “Report a problem”.
  • Answers about death, dying, grief, near-death experiences, leaving a faith or a crisis, in full. They never count toward a limit and never show a sales message.
  • The status of Ricardo Maldonado’s own research (Author’s hypothesis): what each idea proposes and what it does not claim, its strongest challenge, what would rule it out, and anything corrected or withdrawn. You’ll find it on the Research Notebook and its Test Ledger, with links to his public records on Zenodo.
  • The Library search and the “Ask for it” form.

What All Access pays for

  • The long answer on every Library page: the evidence piece by piece, the strongest objections, and how to check it yourself.
  • The time it takes to research, check and correct each answer. Membership keeps God Plays Dice independent.

Research explainers (the Holy Grail collection): explainers of Ricardo’s own research (Author’s hypothesis), prepared from his public records; editorial methods are explained on our Editorial Standards page. Checking is not peer review. This is a new collection, not the Holy Grail plan of the retired Architect website. The status of each idea, and a one-paragraph summary of every live explainer, stay free on the Research Notebook.

What paying never buys

A different answer. A friendlier label. Fewer caveats. Every reader gets the same verdict, the same “how sure are we” labels and the same sources. Paying never buys a different answer.

What we never do

  • We don’t sell your data.
  • We never record what you believe or build a profile of your beliefs.
  • To count free long answers, we use a small cookie on your device that holds only the numbers of the answers you opened this month. With a free account, the same count is kept with your account.
  • You can cancel All Access at any time from your account, as easily as you joined.

Changes to this promise

Updated 1 October 2026: This page used to say that “the care and research exceptions” stay free in full. It now names exactly what stays free about Ricardo’s own research: the status of each idea, what it proposes and what it does not claim, its strongest challenge, what would rule it out, and anything corrected or withdrawn. Answers about death, grief and crisis have not changed.

Updated 1 October 2026: Ricardo’s own research used to be a full exception to the monthly limit. Now the long answers that explain his research are for All Access members only, and the status of each idea stays free for everyone.

Updated 1 October 2026: Six checked research explainers were added to All Access as the Holy Grail collection. Their status, challenges and corrections, and a summary of every explainer, remain free on the Research Notebook. Checking is not peer review.
